The Most Important Decision
The greatest walk you will ever take begins with a single step toward God. If you have never given your life to Jesus — or if you are not sure — this page is for you.
God created you to know Him. Sin broke that relationship. But God... in His great love ... did not leave you there. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to bridge the gap between a holy God and a broken humanity. Becoming a Christian is not merely believing a creed or attending church. It is having Christ Himself take residence in your life and heart. Jesus said, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in." If you would like to have a relationship with Christ, simply pray this prayer and mean it in your heart.
If you are ready to give your life to Jesus, you can pray something like this. God hears the sincere cry of every heart — the exact words matter far less than the faith behind them.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to You today knowing that I have sinned and fallen short of Your glory. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, that He died on the cross for my sins, and that You raised Him from the dead.
I confess my sin and ask for Your forgiveness. I turn from my old way of living and place my trust in Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
Thank You for the gift of eternal life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to walk with You every day.
